Welcoming an “ARK Dog” into your life means more than just adopting. The fact is you will be rescuing a dog in need because in many cases these wonderful dogs would otherwise be euthanized. If you are interested in adopting a dog who is being helped by ARK, please review the bio, photos, and videos of the currently available dogs.
An “ARK Dog” generally has a special need(s) that makes him or her hard-to-place. However, in no way do these special needs define who the dogs really are. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whether it’s a marginalized breed, chronic illness, resource guarding, senior in hospice, a poor match for kids, feral background, fear aggression, bite history, or disability, know that you will become part of an exclusive club by adopting an “ARK Dog.”
Adopting a dog is a big responsibility, but the rewards are immense! As a responsible owner, please review the 3-3-3 Rules of Adoption before bringing your new dog home. Though all dogs adjust differently, this brief guide tells you what to expect in the first few days, weeks, and months.
